Privacy Policy

HonestBudget ("we", "us") sells digital budgeting templates at honestbudget.shop. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can get away with.

What we collect

• Purchase data. When you buy something we receive your email address, the products purchased, the amount paid and a payment reference from our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Email signups. If you request the free starter sheet we store your email address and the date you signed up.
• Contact messages. If you write to us we store your name, email address and the content of your message so we can reply and keep a support history.
• Basic usage data. Anonymous, aggregated page analytics (pages viewed, referring site, approximate country). No cross-site advertising trackers, ever.

What we never collect

We do not connect to your bank, we do not import transactions, and we never see the numbers you type into your templates. Your budget lives in your own Google account or on your own computer.

Why we process it

• To deliver the products you bought and honour refunds (performance of a contract).
• To send you the free sheet you asked for and occasional product updates (consent).
• To answer your support messages (legitimate interest).
• To keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).

Who else processes your data

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
• Our hosting and database provider — stores orders, subscribers and messages.
• Our email provider — sends order and download emails.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone. Full stop.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years to meet tax rules. Email subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days. Contact messages are deleted after 24 months.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to run the shop, remember your cookie choice and complete checkout. Analytics is privacy-friendly and aggregated. Declining non-essential cookies does not limit anything you can buy or download.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email support@honestbudget.shop and we will action verified requests within 30 days. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Product files are stored in a private bucket and delivered only through time-limited signed links, so downloads cannot be scraped or shared indefinitely. Access to our database is restricted to server-side code.

Children

Our products are not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact
