Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of honestbudget.shop and the digital products sold on it. By buying or downloading anything from us, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't buy.

1. What we sell

We sell digital budgeting templates: spreadsheets for Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, and printable PDF sheets. Nothing physical is shipped. Product descriptions state exactly which formats are included.

2. Orders and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are one-time payments. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. Your order is complete when payment is confirmed and your download page is shown. Local taxes may be added at checkout where required by law.

3. Delivery

Delivery is immediate and electronic. Download links appear on the confirmation page and are emailed to the address used at checkout. Links are time-limited for security; if yours expires, contact us and we will reissue them free of charge. Please check your spam folder before assuming the email is lost.

4. Licence

On payment we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased files for your own personal and household financial planning, on as many of your own devices as you like.

You may not:

• resell, sublicense, rent, share or redistribute the files, in whole or in part;
• publish the files or copies of them where others can download them;
• use the files, or derivatives of them, in a paid product, course, coaching service or client deliverable;
• remove or obscure any branding or copyright notices.

We retain all intellectual property rights in the templates. Commercial and team licences are available — email us. Breaching this licence terminates it without refund.

6. General information only — not financial advice

Our products are budgeting and organisational tools. They provide general information only. They are not financial, tax, investment, credit or legal advice, they are not tailored to anyone's personal circumstances, and we are not licensed advisers.

Nothing in the products, in our emails or on this site is a recommendation to take, or to avoid taking, any financial action. Please consider your own circumstances and, where it matters, talk to a licensed professional who can look at your full situation.

The calculations, projections and estimates built into the templates are illustrative. They work entirely from the figures you type in, and they make simplifying assumptions — for example, the debt payoff estimate does not account for interest that keeps accruing while you pay the debt down. Treat those numbers as a rough guide, not a forecast, and check your own figures before acting on them.

7. Availability and accuracy

We work to keep the site available and the templates accurate, but we provide them "as is" and do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted or free of errors. If you find a calculation error, tell us and we will fix it and reissue the file.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the site or products is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost savings, lost profits or decisions made using the templates. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.

9. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the site or our download system, and don't use our brand to imply endorsement. We may suspend access for abuse.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published at the time of your purchase, and we will update the date above when we change anything.
